Who writes the blog?

I'm Fernanda, Brazilian, from Salvador, engineer, wife of Marcelo, mother of Patrick and Júlia, and this little corner is my super travel and tour diary.

I've lived in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Darien (Connecticut, USA), Dublin (Ireland) and since 2019 I've been living in Portugal, but I confess that I still want to live in many other places. Who knows, maybe one day, right?

I don't have much patience or interest in exposing our lives on social media, so we always travel offline and when we return from our trips and have time, I write about them on the blog. When I get excited, I post anything on IG or FB to boost my morale...lol.

How the blog came about

I started the blog in 2012 writing about our 1-month trips together, the “backpacking trips”, and then I started to record the smaller trips, the “backpacking trips”, so that explains the name M&M. My goal here has always been to document our trips as much as possible so that we could travel again whenever we stopped to read the stories. posts, then you will see super detailed articles here, with routes taken, thousands of photos and details of the tours.

Sand you are looking for direct articles like “What to do”, “What to eat”, “Top 10”, etc, I recommend 2 wonderful blogs: Felipe, the little traveler and Vagamundos, which in addition to having more direct posts, also have super detailed posts. I use them a lot to put together my travel itineraries!

Our travels summarized

So far we have traveled to 37 countries in South America, Central America, North America, Europe, Oceania and Africa.

While we lived in Rio, we backpacked through South America, Central America and Oceania and other trips nearby.

In October 2014, we moved to Ireland and spent almost 4 years taking advantage of Ryanair promotions to explore Europe, Africa and North America.

Since 2018, we've been traveling with our little ones on board, so the pace is very different, right? Even so, we're having a GREAT time exploring the world with our loved ones and creating unforgettable memories.
