Our 1-day itinerary in Braga
We spent a day exploring Braga and the famous Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, which is located nearby, and we loved the third largest Portuguese city. We ate really well, were treated very well wherever we went and I even met a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. It was great!

We left Águeda and on the way to Cascais, we stopped for lunch in Nazaré to celebrate my husband's birthday. We enjoyed the beach and the view of the city for a while and then got back on the road to end another family trip.

On the way between the Douro and our home in Cascais, we stopped in Águeda to see the famous colorful umbrellas on its streets and tried Leitão da Bairrada, a delicacy recognized nationally and internationally.
