Pony Corner in Sintra

Index

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, I saw a post on Facebook from this place explaining how they were keeping the animals well fed and cared for with all the visiting restrictions that were in place. I was interested in seeing the kitties up close ever since, but it was only 3 years later that we were finally able to go.

This is the official website of the place.

BIRTHDAY PARTY AT PONY CORNER

I scheduled my 2-year-old daughter's birthday party in one of the rooms they offer for rent and it was a delightful morning with inflatables, animals, music, food and drinks brought by us.

When I visited the space to find out whether I would actually have the party or not, I was impressed by how clean and organized the place was, how happy and well-cared for the animals seemed, and how friendly the staff was. It's a shame that the space isn't bigger, because I think it would be more comfortable for everyone, especially the animals, but it is what it is, right? It's still worth it!

FAMILY EXPERIENCE AT PONY CORNER

As I said above, I had my daughter's birthday party there, but if you want to go without having a party planned for an outing with your kids, just go to the official website and schedule a time in the Family Experience menu. I'll leave the link here to help you: BOOK FAMILY EXPERIENCE IN SINTRA.

If there is no availability for you, it is worth taking a look at the space they also have in Pinhal Novo. Everything is explained on their website.

Here is a summary of what this experience is like there:

  • Feed the farm animals (dromedaries, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, dwarf pigs, turkeys, pheasants, …)
  • Talk/interact with each animal and its characteristics.
  • Professional inflatable.
  • Take a photo with the pony and interact.
  • Playground.
  • Guided tour with monitor.
  • Activity aimed at children.
  • You can bring a picnic to enjoy in our space (we have a mini cafeteria)
  • The activity starts 15 minutes after the booked time.
  • Activity lasts approximately 1:20h, the rest of the time is free.
  • Group visit (several families)
  • Approximate price 10 euros per adult and per child.
