The end of our trip to Italy was in the famous city of Pisa, with its leaning tower and beautiful cathedral. We ended with a flourish!
We visited the towns of Cortona and Montepulciano in one day, and we loved everything. The house from the movie Under the Tuscan Sun is beautiful!
We spent a delightful day in the towns of Monteriggioni and Siena, and were enchanted by the Siena Cathedral and its wonderfully decorated floor.
We spent a delightful day visiting San Gimignano, famous for its towers, and Volterra, which has incredible views all around.
Saturday (09/26/2015) We left Florence in the middle of the day with our rental car and decided to spend the afternoon in Lucca, the city where our great-grandmother lived.
We visited Florence in 2 days and left enchanted by its beauty, its food and even its streets full of tourists. It is a must.
We spent two weeks in Italy, visiting big and small cities that were incredible and left us enchanted and wanting more!
