We left from Marbella (read about our trip there here), on the Costa del Sol, and we drove for 1 hour to Round, passing several wind farms on the way (something useful had to be done with all that wind!). We arrived in the city while it was still daylight and despite the hills and narrow streets, we found it easy to find our hotel.
We stayed in a wonderful hotel, the Hotel Ronda, which is in a great location and is super family-friendly and welcoming. We got a triple room, but they also have double rooms. The owner of the hotel is a sweetheart and gave us great tips about the city, especially the restaurants. We loved everything!
We took the car to the parking lot indicated by the hotel owner and went to dinner at the restaurant. Big Door, recommended by her. What a wonderful place!!! What delicious food, guys!!! I highly recommend it. We walked back to the hotel (I don't think it was even a 10 minute walk) and passed out from exhaustion. The road is tiring, huh…

We woke up relatively early and although our daily rate did not cover breakfast, we were surprised with a tray with some delicacies prepared with care by the owner. I thought it was a real treat!
We went for a walk around the city and the feeling we had the night before of “we did a great job stopping here” was only confirmed. The city is delightful, with its white houses, narrow streets, few cars driving around and very happy people on the streets. Since the city is located on top of a rock, there are several points from which we have wonderful views of the surroundings. I loved every little place we went, following the map we got at the hotel.
After walking around the narrow streets for a while, we decided to go down to see the city's main bridge from below. It was an easy walk, well signposted and paved, so we thought it was worth it. Look at that view!!
We stopped for lunch at Faustino Bar, which has interesting decor and great food too. Another good tip from the owner of our hotel.
From there, we hit the road towards Grenade!
