Bray
We took advantage of a rare sunny day in Ireland to explore Bray with some dear friends. We took the DART (train) right here near our house (we live in Dublin 4) and 40 minutes later we were in this cute little town, which is one of the points of the Irish summer.
We walked along the shore, sat on the sand with pebbles and even considered going into the water, but the urge passed when we saw how freezing cold it was!!!

When hunger struck, we stopped for lunch at The Martello Bar. The food was delicious, but the service could have been better, since we are in a country famous for its friendly people, right?

We continued walking along the waterfront and decided to climb the hill to see the view of the city from up there. Look how cute it is:

We could have continued on the trail to the town of Greystones (5km), but we decided to stop halfway and come back another day with more time. Here are some photos of the trail:

Itinerary tip: I think the most interesting thing is to take the DART to Greystones, do the 5km trail to Bray, have lunch at Bray (there are great restaurants there) and then take the DART from Bray back to Dublin. How about that? 😉
Update: We lived in Dublin for almost 4 years and didn't go back to do the trail 🙁 Who knows, maybe one day we'll go back as tourists, right?
