How we sleep in Tau the night before and we wanted to go to Stavanger, which is the fourth largest city in the country, we had to make the journey from ferry boat (fortunately!). We paid 197 Norwegian kroner (21 euros) and relaxed in total comfort inside.
When we arrived in Stavanger, we parked the car in a parking lot very close to the port (30 crowns) and walked around the area in the rain.
We didn't think the city was anything special, but at the end of the day, we managed to have a great experience at the Japanese restaurant. Sushi San, which had a few tables with Norwegians (we thought this was a great sign!). What wonderful food! The raw salmon melted in your mouth…we highly recommend it! It cost 385 kroner (40 euros) and we left very satisfied.
We left Stavanger with the aim of visiting the monastery Utstein Castle (12th century) and pass through the Byfjord tunnels, which is an underwater tunnel of almost 6 km. We got lost on the way to the monastery (Google Maps made a big mistake!) and when we finally arrived, it was already closed. We went through the tunnel and it was a different experience, with a lot of pressure on the ears and adrenaline. I think it is worth doing once in a lifetime… (we had to do it 3 times, because we got the wrong way… hahahha).
Our initial plan was to sleep near the city of Haugesund, but as it was raining heavily, we thought it best to drive a little further and stay closer to Bergen, our next stop. We drove part of it and picked up two others ferry boats (480 crowns in total, or 50 euros), which helped us rest. We stopped at the supermarket to stock up and went looking for a place to sleep. We found one camping on the edge of a really cool lake and that's where we stopped to sleep. It cost 200 crowns (21 euros) + 10 crowns for every 6 minutes of bathing.

We woke up to this beautiful view and took the opportunity to have breakfast at a table almost inside the lake. A delicious breakfast, but it could have been warmer…
