On March 4, 2022, we went to have lunch in a charming village very close to Cascais, Azenhas do Mar. We drove for half an hour and arrived at the restaurant Water and Salt, which had been recommended to us at the time by an acquaintance.
For those who don't know, this village is one of the most photographed in Portugal, because of its cute little white houses by the sea, with a saltwater pool, a small beach and abundant vegetation. If you want to know more about this place, click on this link Secret Lisbon.
Restaurant in Azenhas do Mar
We ordered 2 dishes that were suggested by the chef – I think – and we loved them all. One of them was the curry and the other a kind of moqueca. I thought the restaurant was nice and the service was good, but if we had sat at a table outside with a sea view, the experience would have been better.

After lunch, we walked around for about 10 minutes in Azenhas do Mar – it really is a small town – and then drove back to Cascais.

Just above the village, there is a viewpoint with a beautiful view that is worth checking out! Just be careful with the wind. That day, it almost blew us away… lol
