We took advantage of a weekend when we had visitors at our house from the Czech Republic and we all went to explore and take a walk in the Lisbon Cable Car. We drove for 30 minutes from Cascais to Parque das Nações, where the attraction is located, and parked the car in one of the private parking lots in the area.
As we all already knew the Lisbon Oceanarium – they visited the last time they came here – we bought tickets just for the Telecabine. We bought them on the spot, without waiting in line, and paid 9.50 per adult and 6.50 for our older children, for the round trip. Our children under 2 years old got in for free. See more about tickets here.
The crossing was quicker than I would have liked, but it was totally worth it! Kids and adults were happy with the view and the experience, and even happier with a photo taken before we got in where everyone was smiling and looking good. The best 10 euros ever spent on a photo!
When we got down on the other side, we went to a snack bar to buy ice cream and enjoy the surroundings, and then we took the cable car back slowly.
Definitely a worthwhile trip for those with children and adults who aren't afraid of heights!
