Anyone who thinks of Ireland immediately thinks of pubs, right? No wonder, because there really is one on every corner in Irish cities, especially Dublin. The rainy and cold weather, the top-notch live music and the great quality beers are great reasons to visit one of the many that exist in the country.
For those who don't know, Dublin has a very popular area at night called Temple Bar. There are many there pubs lively, but if you don't want to get into them, no problem: you can walk around the streets and enjoy the independent bands that are usually excellent and give free concerts! Just be careful with the pickpockets, who are thieves who steal wallets and cell phones while the owners are distracted.
Pub Crawl in Dublin
If you are interested and interested, I recommend you do one pub crawl around the city. It's a tour from one night to several pubs, with very lively people and of various nationalities, probably. We have selected the 3 below to give you a helping hand:
PUB CRAWL 1 / PUB CRAWL 2 / PUB CRAWL 3
Well, now let’s get down to business… our selection of pubs for you to visit too!!! 🙂
Our top 5 pubs in Dublin
As Dublin has hundreds of them, we prepared this list with the 5 pubs that are worth visiting, in our opinion. They are not necessarily our favorites, because some of them are far from our home, but we make a point of taking our friends and family who come to visit us. I hope it is useful! 🙂
Temple Bar
Website: http://www.thetemplebarpub.com/
Address: 47/48 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, Dublin (LETTER A ON THE MAP)
We can't help but put on this list pub The most famous beer in the city, right? It is located in the area of the same name, has a well-known red facade with flowers, offers the most expensive beers in the city and is packed almost every night. The bands that play there are great, but it is quite difficult to find a comfortable place to enjoy the music and the musicians. We think it is worth stopping by to check it out and even order an expensive beer at the bar, but to spend the whole night there, you have to be very patient.
Brazen Head
Website: http://www.brazenhead.com/
Address: 20 Bridge Street Lower, Dublin 8, Dublin. (LETTER C ON MAP)
You can't miss visiting the pub oldest in Ireland, which is said to be from 1198 (is that really true?). It is a little far away, in Dublin 8, but it is definitely worth going there. The Sunday night band has been playing there for over twenty years and is VERY, VERY TOP! How they play rock of good quality, it is quite possible that you will know most of the songs and have a great time. We went on a Tuesday too and I was delighted with the band of old men who play sitting at a large table. They play traditional Irish music (I love it!) and one of the guys uses a spoon to make a very special drumming sound. I was amazed when I saw him. Like this pub It's quite famous, and it's almost certain that it will get very crowded at night, so plan to arrive before the shows start to get a good table.
The Norseman
Website: http://norseman.ie/
Address: 28E Essex Street, Dublin 2, Dublin. (LETTER B ON MAP)
It's hard to find one pub in the Temple Bar area with quality live music and space to sit, relax, chat without shouting, etc. The Norseman It is very close to the pub Temple Bar and although it is always full, it is common to find empty tables at the back. If you can sit at one of them, you will be able to talk without shouting and still comfortably listen to the excellent bands that play acoustic style. There is a duo that plays there on Saturdays that I love!
Porterhouse
Website: http://www.theporterhouse.ie/
Address: 45-47 Nassau Street, Dublin 2, Dublin. (LETTER D ON MAP)
If you want to try good quality Irish craft beers, head to pub PorterHouse, which is right in front of the Trinity College (There are other locations around the city). It's usually very lively and well attended, but it only sells its own beers...don't order Guinness there, okay? If you go on days when the city has big events (Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, etc.), you'll see very competitive costume competitions and people are very excited. It's a bit like parties in Brazil.
Searsons of Baggot Street
Website: http://searsonsbar.ie/
Address: 42-44 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, Dublin. (LETTER E ON MAP)
If you want to get away from the songs of pub and go to a quieter and more romantic place, we found the Searsons of Baggot Street a good option. Although it is not in the tourist area, we think the trip is worth it, as this pub has a jazz of excellent quality on Sundays, after 5 pm. The band plays at the back, near the restaurant, but you don't have to eat if you don't want to (although we found the food quite tasty). You can sit at the tables, just enjoy your drinks and relax. It's a delightful experience!

I loved the tips! Nightlife filled with good music, culture and entertainment… I can’t wait to experience all of this. Congratulations on the blog!
Yes!!! That's exactly what you said. Do you already have a date to go to Dublin? Kisses
Yes, I'm leaving in the first week of March...I'm going to do a 6-month course, and how long have you been in Dublin?
I've been taking the course since October 2014! I hope you enjoy it. If you need any help, just let me know. 🙂
Just a great pub. I would swap the Porterhouse downtown for the one in Temple Bar. I think the atmosphere there is cooler, but the service, beers and food are the same, in other words, perfect.
Perfect placement!
