Our first “trip” through Ireland. <3

We left from Dublin around 12pm heading to Dalkey, a city mentioned in our Ireland guide. This city is on the coast and is less than 1 hour from the city center, either by bus or by DART (the city's train). Unfortunately, on the day we went, the DART station next to our house was not running because it was under construction, so we ended up taking the bus. The guide told us to take bus 8 or 59, but we found out at the bus stop that bus 8 would not be running because it was Sunday. We tried to take bus 7 to Dun Laoghaire, but the ones that did run were full and we couldn't get on them. We ended up taking a bus that was replacing the DART on the stretch of road that was under construction and got off at a stop next to the Dun Laoghaire train station, from where we could continue to Dalkey.

This is DART:

We arrived in Dalkey very quickly, after passing through only 2 DART stations. When we got off in the town, we loved what we saw. The town is a delight, it looks like a doll.

We walked down the main street and decided to stop for lunch at OUZOS, because we really liked the menu that was on the door and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We chose a fixed price menu (I think it was 20 euros per person) that included a starter and a main course for each person. We ordered a variety of things and everything was delicious! At the end of lunch, we discovered that the chef was Brazilian and a lovely person.

We then went for a walk around the city, following the 1h30 walk that the guide suggested and here are some photos:

We arrived at a place where we spoke to a resident and he told us that if we walked further, we could see one of the houses in Bono Vox from U2!!! I was dying to see it, but since we were tired and it was already getting dark, we thought it best to leave it there. If I ever go back there, I'll try to visit. Here's a tip for you to plan ahead!
