A strategic stop in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir

Index

When we were preparing the itinerary, we decided to stop on our last night of the trip (07/04/2015) in a city called Chartre-sur-le-Loir, which is between Saint Emilion and Beauvais.

If we had taken this route directly, it would have taken us almost 7 hours by car and we would certainly have been exhausted afterwards, so we made this strategic stop in this charming city.

We arrived in this city by chance, when we were looking for nice hotels with good value for money in Booking. We found a super charming hotel for just 70 euros, the Logis Hotel De France, which has a cool decor that pays homage to several motorsport stars. We thought our room was cute, but it would be much better if it had air conditioning.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Ronsard Relais, which is the best in townand we simply loved everything! The service, the divine food, the atmosphere…it was truly a find.

The next day, we decided to have breakfast at the most famous bakery in the city, Christophe and Maya Breux, which is in the same square as our hotel. I ate the best croissant of almonds in my life. <3

We recommend this stop if it is on your way. 🙂
