Do you live in Cascais and want to take a day trip with your kids to places up to 2 hours away? Take a look at this list of 10 places we've been to that we think are worth it!
1. Mira de Aire Caves
The Mira de Aire Cave It is the largest cave in Portugal open to the public and impresses with its giant rock formations and seemingly endless underground corridors. As you explore its illuminated rooms, you can see why it is one of the most famous natural attractions in the country – every corner reveals unique stalactites and stalagmites, creating an otherworldly setting. It is about 11 kilometers long, but only 600 meters are open to the public. Even so, this stretch is enough for an impressive adventure, with enormous halls, magnificent rock formations and depths that reach 110 meters below the surface. Oh, and don't worry, you can go up by elevator at the end of the tour. 🙂
