Where to stay in Cascais

Index

Want to come and visit the beautiful Cascais but don't know where to stay? Keep reading!

I've been living here with my family since 2019 and I know the area quite well. We've never stayed in hotels in the city, because obviously we have our apartment here, but I know people who have stayed in good places and I wanted to write this. post with our recommendations.

A little about Cascais

For those who don't know, Cascais is a Portuguese town on the coast of the Lisbon metropolitan area that is known as the Portuguese Riviera. Full of charm and increasingly international, this little corner of Portugal is a must see for everyone who comes to the country, as it offers wonderful restaurants, beaches for all tastes and charming streets all year round. The best of all is that it is very close to Lisbon and can be reached by train – or train, as the Portuguese say –, bus or car. Some people prefer to do a day trip from the Portuguese capital, but I honestly think that this cosmopolitan town deserves a stay for at least one night. It is a very pleasant place to visit alone, with friends or family, so don't leave it out of your Portugal itinerary.

Here are some recommendations for hotels and apartments that are well located and well rated by our friends and other tourists too.

Accommodation in Cascais

The best hotels in the city

If you can afford to pay for all the comforts possible, Cascais has some super luxurious hotels to offer. Each one has its own unique features, but they are all famous for being excellent. Take a look:

Great and affordable hotels/guest houses

If you're like us and can't/don't want to spend a fortune on accommodation, here's a list of more affordable options, with breakfast and good locations:

Apartments

Now….if you need more space to stay with your family and want to get away from hotel rooms, I highly recommend Central Cascais Apartment with private parking from a dear Scottish friend. She takes great care of the apartment and loves to welcome guests, so I'm sure you'll have an amazing experience there. Oh, and the location is excellent and she speaks Portuguese very well! I hope you'll be able to stay there 🙂

And that!
