On 08/14/2022, we left Cascais in two cars and went to Sesimbra to take a boat trip booked in advance with the company “Grandpa is leaving“.
Lunch in Sesimbra before the tour
We parked the cars very close to the Sesimbra Naval Club, on the right side of the beach, and went straight to have lunch at one of the few restaurants nearby, the Tick Tick. We ordered fish dishes, of course, and despite it being very busy and the atmosphere being quite simple, we had a good meal.
The boat trip in Sesimbra
We happily set off on our boat trip and were blessed with a beautiful sunny day, fortunately. The strong wind made the sea quite choppy and our boat bounced around a lot in the waves, which was nice for a while, but then I ended up getting really worried about the kids. I brought life jackets for both of us from home, and we got life jackets from the very friendly sailor, but there's always some fear, right? I think that until the kids know how to swim confidently, I won't have any peace of mind on boat trips and pool activities. It's no use!
We saw beautiful beaches from afar, but we didn't get to disembark on any of them. We dove into the open sea, enjoyed the beautiful view of the Serra da Arrábida and then, when the 4-hour tour was over, we returned to the pier. What a wonderful, tense tour!! HAHAHA I certainly would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't had a 1-year-old baby on board, but I don't regret it.
